Logo Design for a music production/record label company: Staccato Records. The logo is abstract in nature and utilises negative space and the shape transformation and spaces, to speak to the viewer. The shape is maintains a visual symmetry but also breaks it, in order to please the eye, catch the attention and make one think. The logo in itself is a music wave, with the centre two bars, heavier than the rest and further apart to clear itself out as the Pause symbol, with the Play button sits within the negative space which is made to be extremely prominent and instantly identifiable . The logo shows the variation of music, the left end is shown to be strong and sharp, whereas the right end shows softness, smoothness, with its curved edges.
